I've not given birth, no little feet running bare foot across the kitchen floor. No diapers to change or sippie cups to fill with juice.
Yet I am a mother. A mother to the hurt and the sick. To those in dispair I hold close to me. The keeper of secrets, and the one who listens to the troubles that need to be spoken. Someone to give advice, to hug in the happy times, and the giver of strength in hard times. I am a mother to any and all, young and old, come to me and I will help all I can with what I have.
"You haven't lived a full life unless you've given birth" is what was said on a car ride across town. Even though she dosent realise just how much that hurt, one day, i'm sure she will see, every woman is a mother, a caregiver, most of all a friend.
