Something horrible happened in my world last week. It turned everything on its head, all financial security was lost, I have never been so stressed in my life and I've been through two brain operations and a diagnosis of muscular dystrophy! I thought that it would be a good time to test my trust in the universe, in the laws of abundance. I thought it was interesting that for the first couple of days after the 'horrible thing' happened, I couldn't eat or sleep and felt fear, something I hadn't felt for years. But within days, ones inner resources are back online, I'm calm, and fully expecting/trusting everything to 'right' itself. We shall see, I'll let you know.
I have just finished reading 'From Science to God: A Physicist's Journey into the Mystery of Consciousness by Peter Russell . It's only a slim book so it didn't take long. For most of the book he explains in a very clear and easily understood way about the basic tenets of physics (because of him many things have become clear to me that previously went over my head). He writes a little about his own personal journey and how got where he is today. Towards the end of the book he talks about various belief and religious systems, this stuff I knew inside out but read it nonetheless. The book confirmed that I do have a deep interest in the increasing connections between Quantum Physics and Mysticisim/consciousness, an interest which was started by the film 'What the Bleep do we Know '? I'm now reading the book that was written after the film. My next book will be: Quantum Questions: Mystical Writings of the World's Great Physicists" by Ken Wilber I have also signed up to a website that sends out Inspirational/Spiritual type DVDs on a monthly basis (to keep). I'm really looking forward to the first batch.

I recently bought: '10 Spiritual Steps to a Magical Life by Adrian Calabrese' 'From Science to God by Peter Russell' I haven't bought any new age/spiritual type books for a very long time, for reasons that I'd be willing to tell, except not in a public blog, so it's nice to see where the whole conscious raising movement is now, in the 21st century. I'm particularly intrigued by the books that mix Quantum Physics with spirituality. Books are one of my most important tools. If I get too bogged down in daily life and ego, turning to books like the aforementioned can bring me back to where I want to be. Even better, a new channel has started on Sky tv here in the UK called Edge Media Television (channell 511) showing entirely spiritual/new age/alternative type programmes. A total joy to watch.

I was a bit confused by the Blog set up on here at first. Usually you name your blog (a permanent name) and then after that you 'write new entry' every time you update it, but here it's 'write blog'. Ok, got it....I think. I quite like the fact that there aren't many of us on this site yet, it's like being at the start of something, though I know it's existed before (I'm curious as to why it got closed down, but that's me, nosey lol).

Oh! So that's why my life is so very full of meaning! LOL
